To meet the ever-increasing demand for infrastructure within Indonesia, PT Bukaka Teknik Utama formed Steel Bridge Division in 1996 for the fabrication and erection of highway bridges. Structural Steel Engineering and Fabrication have been a main stay of PT Bukaka Teknik Utama for many years therefore in house design and fabrication facilities were available to support the formation of a Steel Bridge Division. To further support the fabrication of Steel Bridge Structures the facilities of Bukaka include two
large hot deep galvanizing bath pools having a joint capacity of 120.000 tons/yr.In its continuing to produce quality products PT Bukaka Teknik Utama employed a team of professionals, highly qualified in steel bridge design and fabrication to support and advise the available in house capability, to ensure production met with all aspects of the clients specifications. The steel bridge division received its first order from Department of Public Works (Indonesia), Directorate General Bina Marga, which was for the supply and prefabrication of permanent steel truss bridge class “A” Steel Truss Bridge type B, Girder Bridge (composite) type A & B Semi permanent Truss Bridge.
This order was executed within the budget and a head of schedule, due to which further orders have been progressively placed by this client to a total of 52.000 tons to date.
Since government of Indonesia put target on economic growth 5% PA and this reflected high demand infra structure project such as road and railway project; PT Bukaka Teknik Utama is to anticipate potential market on : |
- Steel Demon Table Bridge (Truss Bridge, Girder Bridge, and Panel Bridge)
- Steel Box Girder for Fly Over (road) or Railway Bridge
- Big Span Bridge such as suspension brigde or cable stayed bridge
